Community Blood Drive & Food Pantry Collection Oct 3
Together, we can help save lives and nourish neighbors.
Community Protestant Church UCC and our partners are hosting a community blood drive on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Community Protestant Church, 418 N. Prairie Ave., Mundelein. You can help give a life-saving gift right here in two ways:
Blood donations remain critically important for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care, and countless other medical needs. Whether you’re a first-time donor or a regular participant, your donation can make a real difference. Appointments are encouraged, though walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
Please invite friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors to participate. Every donor helps strengthen the blood supply and supports patients throughout our region.
Unlike previous drives, appointments will be inside the church on the lower level, NOT in a mobile unit.
Follow the signs in the parking lot to the Social Hall Entrance.
Support the Fremont Township Food Pantry
In conjunction with the blood drive, we will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Fremont Township Food Pantry, which serves local families facing food insecurity. The pantry relies entirely on community donations and regularly distributes food to area households. Items such as canned vegetables, soup, beans, pasta, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, cereal, and other shelf-stable foods are especially welcome.
Even if you are unable to donate blood, we invite you to stop by and contribute food for our neighbors in need. Together, we can share both the gift of life and the gift of nourishment.
