Summer Donation Drive a Success!
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
CPC hosted an expanded ‘Share-A-Bration’ donation drive on Saturday, August 30th. Though it was Labor Day weekend and traffic was lighter than previous years, we received a surprising amount of donations to benefit the Fremont & Libertyville Township Food Pantries, Reach Rescue, the Lake County Haven, and The Night Ministry.
Also new this year was the Blood Drive Bus from Versiti Blood Services. The goal set by the agency seemed pretty steep at 15 units, but we EXCEEDED it and ended the day with 18 units! A huge success for our first blood drive in years.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed time, supplies, blood, and effort to organize this worthwhile event.
